A HISTORIC COTTAGE ON RUSSIAN HILL WITH A MODERN TWIST

We renovated this charming historic San Francisco property for a client who brings a love of surfing and laid-back living to everything she does. One of the original earthquake cottages built on Russian Hill after 1906, the home was given a thoughtful, modern update while honoring its heritage.

We refreshed the bathrooms with beautiful, modern fixtures and finishes that subtly reference classic design. In the kitchen, we added a wine refrigerator, and in the dining room, we created a custom entertainer’s hub—ideal for gatherings with friends. Throughout the home, ocean-themed photography adds a personal touch and reflects the client’s passion for the water.

The result is a stylish, relaxed sanctuary tucked away from the street, surrounded by lush gardens and full of character.
